Elements of composition are: patterns, texture, symmetry, asymmetry, depth of field, lines, curves, frames, contrast, color, viewpoint, depth, negative space, filled space, foreground, background, visual tension, shapes. Use one or more of these elements to create a composition that works for your image.

1. Create your Flickr account and make me a contact.
2. Create a Photo folder on your L drive

3. Students can then go out to work on Assignment #1. Make sure you are back from taking photos 15 min before the end of class so you can upload photos to your L drive. Cameras and cards need to be signed in and out in the book with the teacher.

Here is your first Assignment

 Your shots should be in focus, sharp, have a focal point and a clean background. Each shot is worth one mark and should be edited, and then put in an album on Flickr entitled First Assignment.
