Term #1 assignments

NEW ASSIGNMENT TODAY: Since it is nice out today, I am going to suggest you get outside and do some practice shooting. You have a new assignment which is wide open. You are to shoot 10 shots on a particular theme. These can be a variety of shots, and you can theme them anyway you want. Example: antiques, the color red, elderly people, eyes, shoes, the 1960's. AVOID Flowers as a theme, and maybe check in with me to see that you are on the right track.

Here is an update of all of the assignments so far for term #1, and a number that have been introduced for term#2:


Due Date for all Work Fri. Nov. 9 2018

1. Round Ridiculous: 5 shots on flickr DONE
2. Selfie Portraits: 3 shots on flickr DONE
3. Fall shots, focus on angles: 5 shots on Flickr DONE
Boundary Brainstorm: handed in to teacher....I will hand back on Mon. so you can type up and hand in to the Magenta project. DUE OCT 15

4. Boundary proposal for shot 250-300 words. Pleas include the following information:

• The idea fully described THE WHAT
• personal reflection/thoughts on your topic THE WHY
• materials/processes you will be using THE HOW
• Images, drawings or examples of work that help clarify your ideas.
•  DUE  Mon Nov 5 for Boundary Project Members/ END OF TERM

5. Portraits: 20 shots one model, if new to Photography you may use 2 models. 20 shots will go on Flickr in an album and you must also create a slideshow set to music of the portraits.SLIDESHOW DUE FRI OCT 26 in class. Photos on Flickr in an album
6. Magazine cover photo vertical photo on Flickr and printed to the colour printer. 1 shot  also posted to Flickr in an album  DUE END OF TERM
7. Theme shoot: 10 shots, your choice of topic. in an album on Flickr.DUE END OF TERM

8. 5 really well taken Yearbook shots: term #2
9. Diversity shot: for term #2
10. Light Photography: 5 shots for term#2 ( I have not discussed yet)
11. Product shoot: 8-10 sample shots , one well done product ad on flickr term#2
12 Video assignment: 30 sec. of beauty or your choice (speak to me about this)
