Hello photography students. I will be away until the end of term. I wanted you to know that I have been very pleased with the quality of work you have produced. I have not forgotten about our photo contest...and in semester 2, I will call a meeting of the winners to collect prizes, since I have so many prizes! Please continue to work hard over the next few weeks until the end of term so you can finish strong. Your final mark in the course will be an average of your term 1 and term 2 marks.
The following assignments need to be marked and completed before the end of term. Check with Ms Larizza ( the TOC) to make sure you have all of your work marked.
- Self Evaluation 10 marks (a few of you are still missing this)
- Portrait slideshow 30 marks ( I will be marking)
- 9 shots that tell a Story, includes storyboard 30 marks ( or replacement assign)
- Overlay 20 marks ( or replacement assign)
- Light Photos: 10 photos 20 marks
- Final Video ( 40 seconds) 40 marks Will be shown in class in the last week of term
Please see Ms Larizza if you want to do the replacement assignment.
Assignment: "Beauty in a Second" video project Please see sample assignment links to get an idea as to how this assignment should look. Essentially, you are to go out and shoot between 40 and 50 1 second video clips (you may need shots to be up to 6 seconds to capture the video fully to allow for editing) and then compile to music in a movie program. When watching the sample videos, music can be downloaded through iTunes, mp3 convertor or bought from i-tunes. Many of you can probably do this on your phones, and use a video editing app.
Criteria:Make sure you do not repeat shots and the shots capture a feeling or sense of beauty or slice of life moments. You should leave yourself a significant amount of time for editing.
Marks 50
Please note: when shooting video, you still want your shots to be up close, shot using various angles, and capturing a feeling or essence of the beautiful moments in life.
Make sure you DO NOT shoot vertical only horizontal.
