Sept 2014 The Beginning of a new year

I apologize for such a slow start to the year…cameras were left in a mess at the end of last year and we have 5 cameras in need of repair. Assemblies have nicely interrupted the flow of having 11's and 12's in the same class. And lastly the weather has not been the best. But here we are…and we will continue to move forward.

New students should be signed up on Flickr and have made me a contact. All students should have a buddy icon and your screen name should read your name (f 2014). If you have taken photography before, you should move all of your photos into an album called old photos. Students should have a Photography 11/12 folder created with a sub folder entitled photos and one called resources. Under photos, you should have 2 sub folders, one called unedited and one called edited.

ALL STUDENTS SHOULD HAVE THEIR OWN SD CARD BY NEXT WEEK AND BRING IT TO CLASS REGULARLY... I WILL ONLY BE LOANING CARDS OUT FOR A RENTAL FEE OF $1.

NEW ASSIGNMENT: A DAY IN THE LIFE

In this assignment you should have a camera with you throughout the entire day. You should look for interesting angles and subjects to take photos of. You should have at least 30 photos and they will be put into a slideshow with music. You can use any program you like and for those new to photography, I will show you how to use the slideshow program.

Test: We will continue to review photography terminology and techniques, and after a time there will be a test on this knowledge
